I didn’t mean to be mean when …

I didn’t mean to be mean when I commented on the Time Divas’ use of tweets. I was just amazed at how many tweets she wrote at one sitting!

  1. Twittering . . . a fun, creative way to express yourself, your views and promote your business. Each person finds their own way to use Twitter - as you stated, some can post multiple tweets at one time, others rarely post anything, they simply read what others are doing.

How do you use Twitter? Maybe I should ask, DO you use Twitter? What prompts a tweet for you?

  2. Hi Carol,

Thanks for your comment. I do tweet when I have something to share, sometimes in multiples and sometimes, in a single post. I love to read what others are twittering about for many reasons. I also find inspiration when I read others’ tweets.

What prompts a tweet for you, Carol?

  3. A tweet is prompted for me by many things actually. Sometimes reading other tweets reminds me of something I wanted to blog about - sometimes I am reminded about things I want to do with my business. Most of the time I like to “check in” at least once a day and post something about what I’m doing.

What is truly amazing to me is that by thanking someone to follow me, I find they are also reading and commenting on my blog or as in one case, passed my blog info on to someone they felt would be helped by my info!

Must be careful not to overdo posting about your own blog, so I’m cautious as to how many times in a particular day that I mention my blog in a thanks for following me message.

All in all, I think life in general prompts a tweet for me! I’d love to hear what prompts tweets for others!

Would you tell me what prompts you to tweet?

  4. Hi Carol,

    When I read someone’s tweet:
I get to know them a bit better.
    I learn something.
    I’m challenged.
    I’m inspired.
I become more curious or not, depending upon what I read.
I find new people to follow….

I’d love to hear from other people on what makes them tweet.

    Thanks again for posting Carol.

    Lael:)
