Building A Piece With Playing Cards
1) Find or purchase a deck of cards.
2) Find a smooth surface, such as a table, to build something from the cards.
3) If the cards keep sliding, then put a few pieces of paper towels under the cards. The rough surface with provide some traction for the cards. The cards should slide less.
4) Build a card house according to your vision. Don’t doubt your skill. Just build whatever you want. It’s okay to build more than one story, if you want.
5) When you are finished, stop and admire your work.
6) Give your building a memorable name.
7) Take a picture of the building or share your creation with a trusted friend, by showing them the building in person.
Put the materials away until you are ready to build another card house or building.
Purpose:
I wanted you to have fun with this exercise. It’s fun to work with playing cards. I enjoy seeing what the cards look like, once they are assembled into a building. It’s also a challenge to keep the building standing when air blows through the room or the floor or table begins to vibrate.
Enjoy your creations!!
