What About Networking? (Part 2) - 12/06/06
WHEN:
You can network nearly anytime. Generally, it’s better to network earlier during breakfast, lunch or dinner, rather than scheduling a meeting very late in the evening. However, if you choose to pursue online networking, then you can at nearly all hours wher appropriate. Before I go on, I will admit that networking in the traditional manner, going to a meeting and talking to people, that I’ve never met before, is not my preference or strong suit. That doesn’t mean I don’t recommend it. I do recommend it, because it’s always to stretch yourself and learn new skills. Just keep an eye on how well this type of networking works for you and how you are feeling inside when you are talking to people. The offline group I used to belong too, is one of the better local networking groups in the area. They are constantly adapting their approach to accomodate the latest marketing research, without significantly altering their basic approach. I will include information about this group and as well as some others in Friday’s Resources list.
