Today’s Freedom
I wanted to talk a bit about freedom today, just before, we in the U.S., officially celebrate July 4th tomorrow.
What would happen if our creative freedoms were taken away tomorrow?
It’s hard to imagine, but artists in Russia and other former Eastern bloc countries experienced this for most of their creative lives. They survived by working underground and staying in close touch with other creatives, working just under the radar of the government.They had good reason to stay under the radar, their lives and livelhoods depended upon it.
